Lecture by Garth Rockcastle visiting Professor, MOME - Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetem; Professor of Architecture, University of Maryland 2004 - present, and Founding Principal of Meyer Scherer and Rockcastle, Architecture, Interior, and Urban Design since 1981.

Foretaste of the lecture:

The 20th Century brought unprecedented revolutions of thought, social and political disruption and environmental impact that continues to have a lasting impact today. While much of it has been hopeful and positive, much has also been negative ...for what we now understand through the eyes and minds of our most celebrated thinkers today, perilous challenges await the very future of humanity on earth. We should all be asking: How might the very design thinking, planning and advocacy best prepare us for these challenges? The professor will provide several ideas and examples of creative work he has been advancing over the past 25 years in an attempt to address this central question.

The lecture is held in English.

Registration is not required.
